How Your Chapter Works
Each AER chapter elects a slate of officers to guide the chapter programs, manage the finances, and make decisions that best represent the vision professionals in the chapter. The Arizona Chapter’s mission is to provide the vision professionals residing or working in Arizona opportunities for professional growth, networking, continuing education, and camaraderie through newsletters, meetings and conferences, and electronic communications.

Get Involved
Contact any of the Chapter Officers to become involved in chapter activities and committees. Your participation is essential to the strength of the chapter.

Call for Nominations

The Worker of the Year Award was established at the Annual Meeting of the Arizona Chapter of the American Association of Workers for the Blind in 1972. On February 1, 1989, the Arizona Chapter of the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired voted to honor Margaret Bluhm by naming the award the Margaret Bluhm Worker of the Year Award. Since that time, this award has annually recognized an individual in our state who has made an outstanding contribution to the field on behalf of infants, children, and/or adults who have visual impairments.

We welcome and invite you to nominate your colleagues for the 2018 Margaret Bluhm Worker of the Year Award. Please see below for award criteria:
