Job Description

Low Vision and Orientation & Mobility Specialist opportunity at the SD School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in beautiful Aberdeen, SD.

A 9-month full-time faculty position, with full benefits.

Job Highlights:

  • Organize, plan and provide direct orientation and mobility instruction to blind and visually impaired students/persons
  • Train students in the use of specific devices for near and distant tasks
  • Train teachers and/or parents how to use the devices
  • Teach students to orient themselves and to travel as safely, efficiently and independently as possible in relevant environments

Serve as a member of evaluation team
